The Olivet College men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams have been named to the 2007-08 College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Academic All-American team. In addition, sophomore Kellen Beckwith (Farmington Hills/North Farmington) and graduates Dustin Meisner (Temperance/Erie Mason) and Courtney Mich (Bay City/Western) have earned the CSCAA Individual Academic All-American Award.
Ninety-two Olivet College student-athletes have been named to the 2007-08 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Academic (MIAA) Honor Roll.
Awards by the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association to the outstanding senior athletes from its member schools during the 2007-08 academic year have been announced by Commissioner David Neilson. Dustin Meisner of Olivet College has received the Albert H. Deal Scholar-Athlete Award.
Olivet College freshman Kellen Beckwith (Farmington Hills/North Farmington) competed at the 2008 NCAA Division III National Swimming/Diving Championships March 21-23. Miami (Ohio) University hosted the meet at the Corwin M. Nixon Aquatic Center in Oxford, Ohio. With an 11th-place in the 100-yard backstroke, Beckwith earned honorable mention All-American honors.

The men have tallied 318 points and are more than 100 points behind 11th-ranked DePauw, who has 452 points. The women have 218 points.
The Olivet College men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams competed this weekend at the Wabash (Ind.) College/Pat Woehnker Invitational at the Class of 1950 Natatorium in Crawfordsville, Ind. The men’s team finished in fourth-place (out of nine schools) with 339 points. The women were sixth (out of nine) with 239 points.
