UOlivet drops dual meets at Albion

ALBION, Mich. – The University of Olivet men's and women's swimming teams suffered losses to Albion College in non-conference dual meets this afternoon at the Dean Aquatic Center. The men lost 159-20, while the women fell, 129-57.

FOR THE COMET MEN

• Senior Matthew Brown placed second in the 100-yard butterfly (1:02.52).
• Sophomore Erick Horne finished second in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:10.44).
• Freshman Efrem Masterson posted third-place finishes in the 200-yard freestyle (2:01.82) and 500-yard freestyle (5:32.15).

FOR THE COMET WOMEN

• Senior Kelsee Lawson placed second in the 1,000-yard freestyle (12:49.31) and third in the 100-yard backstroke (1:18.11).
• Freshman Bailee Robinson touched first in the 50-yard freestyle (30.96).
• Junior Sophia Spahr captured first-place finishes in the 200-yard individual medley (2:33.50) and 100-yard freestyle (1:02.67).
• Sophomore Bethany Stowell won the 100-yard backstroke (1:05.94) and was second in the 200-yard freestyle (2:13.93).

UP NEXT

• Olivet participates in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Invitational on January 24 at the Venema Aquatic Center in Grand Rapids. The meet begins at 11:30 a.m.
