OLIVET, Mich. – The University of Olivet men's tennis team opened the 2024-25 season with a 6-1 loss to Indiana University-Southeast today inside the Tom Kolassa Tennis Courts.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The scoring rules for NCAA tennis were changed this year. The school who wins two of the three doubles flights earns one team point. Indiana-Southeast won two-of-three doubles flights for the first point. The Grenadiers then won 5-of-6 singles flights to win the match 6-1.
FOR THE COMETS
- In doubles, the No. 3 duo of junior Ryan Ganger and sophomore Austin Whitney claimed a 6-4 win.
- Olivet's win in singles came at the No. 6 slot where freshman Chad Romyak won in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2.

- The Comets are on the road next Saturday, September 14, to play Manchester (Ind.) University at 1 p.m.
