UOlivet begins spring schedule with 4-3 loss to Manchester

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – The University of Olivet men's tennis team opened the spring portion of its schedule with a tough 4-3 loss to Manchester (Ind.) University today inside the Minges Creek Athletic Club.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Spartans secured the doubles point with wins at the No. 1 and No. 2 flights.
• The teams split the six singles flights to give the 4-3 win to Manchester.

FOR THE COMETS

• The No. 3 doubles duo of sophomore Christian Beyers and junior Ryan Ganger won 6-3.
• Sophomore Alex Jonas cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles.
• Beyers posted a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 3 singles.
• Freshman Mason Munsell claimed a 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 4 singles.

UP NEXT

• Olivet travels to play Albion College in a non-conference match next Wednesday, February 26. The match will take place indoors at the Ungrodt Tennis Center and get started at 4 p.m.
