OLIVET, Mich. – The University of Olivet men's tennis team came up short against Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Alma College, 5-2, in its season-finale at the Tom Kolassa Tennis Courts.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Scots secured the doubles point by winning each of the three flights. Olivet took a 2-1 lead with wins at No. 6 and 4 singles. Alma grabbed the lead back with wins at No. 3 and 1 singles. The outcome came down to No. 5 and No. 2 singles. The Scots won the first set in both flights but the Comets bounced back to win the second set and force a deciding third set. Alma walked off with a third set win at No. 5 to clinch the win and won the third set at No. 2 to win the match, 5-2.
FOR THE COMETS
- In doubles, the No. 1 tandem of sophomores Lucas Anderson and Alex Jonas lost a close 7-5 match.
- At No. 4 singles, freshman Mason Munsell posted a 6-2, 6-3 win.
- At No. 6 singles, freshman Chad Romyak cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 victory.
- At No. 2 singles, Jonas fell 6-4 in the first set, rebounded to win the second set, 6-4, but lost the third set, 6-0.
- At No. 5 singles, junior Ryan Ganger lost the opening set, 6-3, before shutting out his opponent, 6-0, in the second set but fell 6-2 in the third set.
UP NEXT
- The Comets will now prepare for the 2025-26 season. A fall schedule will be posted later this summer when it's finalized by head coach Brandon Ralston.
