Olivet College will host the 2010 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Jamboree at the Kolassa Track and Cutler Athletic Complex. It will be the college's first-ever track and field meet on its new Kolassa Track.
The track is named in honor of Tom '69 and Gayle Kolassa, who provided the financial resources for the installation of the track surface in June 2007. In addition, they donated the funds for the purchase of the track equipment (hurdles, landing pads, blocks, etc.) and visiting bleachers. At 9:45 a.m., there will be a short dedication of the track.
Six other MIAA schools will participate in the league's jamboree, which will get started at 10 a.m. All running events will be on the Kolassa Track with field events taking place in areas surrounding the track. Pole vault, long jump and triple jump will be contested in the area south of the home grandstand, shotput in the southeast corner of the complex, and discus, javelin and hammer near the college's baseball and soccer fields.
