Chandler places seventh in high jump, Fremeau finishes 14th in shot put at 2025 NCAA Division III Championships to earn All-American honors
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Sophomore DeVondre Chandler finished seventh in the high jump and sophomore Owen Fremeau was 14th in the shot put at the 2025 Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships. The performances helped Chandler earn First Team All-American honors, and Fremeau earn Second Team All-American honors.
Chandler cleared the bar on his first attempt at the opening height (6 feet, 4-3/4 inches). He needed two tries to get over the bar at the next height (6 feet, 6-3/4 inches). Chandler successfully got over the bar on the third height (6 feet, 8-3/4 inches). He then failed on his three attempts at 6 feet, 9-3/4 inches).
Fremeau recorded a throw of 55 feet, 7-1/2 inches on his first attempt. His other two attempts went 51 feet, 6-1/4 inches and 49 feet, 11-1/4 inches.
Chandler repeats as a First Team All-American, as he was sixth in the high jump at the 2024 Indoor Championships. Fremeau is an All-American for the first time. Overall, Olivet now has nine indoor All-Americans.
