One school record and three other top 10 marks for UOlivet at SVSU Holiday Open

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – A small group of student-athletes from The University of Olivet track and field teams opened their indoor seasons today by competing at the Saginaw Valley State University Holiday Open.
FOR THE COMET MEN
- Sophomore Alexander Brown tied for fourth in the pole vault with a UOlivet indoor record at 14 feet and 3-1/4 inches.
- Junior Owen Fremeau placed fifth in the weight throw (59 feet).
- Sophomore Yrral Campbell posted a personal-best mark in the weight throw at 49 feet and 2-1/2 inches. The mark also moved him up to No. 4 on the all-time top 10 list.
- Sophomore Jadyn Brown cleared the high jump bar at the fifth-best mark in school history at 5 feet and 10-1/2 inches.
FOR THE COMET WOMEN
- Sophomore Brooke Jankwietz finished ninth of 52 competitors in the shot put (36 feet and 10-1/4 inches).
- Sophomore Lily Russell posted the 10th-best mark in UOlivet history in the weight throw at 40 feet and 1-1/4 inches.
UP NEXT
- The Comets are now idle until Saturday, January 17, 2026, when they participate in the Trine (Ind.) University Sean Brady Alumni Invitational. Events begin at 10 a.m.
