Fremeau breaks two UOlivet records, Castillo runs No. 5 time at GVSU Big Friday Meet
ALLENDALE, Mich. – Three members of The University of Olivet men's indoor track and field team competed today at the Grand Valley State University Big Friday Meet.
Junior Owen Fremeau shattered his own UOlivet indoor record in the shot put and weight throw. His mark in the weight throw, 63 feet and 1-1/4 inches, moves him all the way up to No. 3 on the NCAA Division III Performance List. Fremeau's mark in the shot put, 57 feet and 3-3/4 inches, slid him up to No. 6 on the performance list.
Sophomore Brenden Castillo ran in the 5,000-meter run. He completed the race in 15 minutes and 51.75 seconds, which ranks No. 5 all-time in UOlivet history.
Sophomore Alexander Brown cleared the pole vault bar at 15 feet and 3-3/4 inches to finish seventh in the event.
