Connelly breaks 600m record, four additional Top 10 marks achieved at MIAA-WHAC Challenge

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The University of Olivet indoor track and field teams were at Aquinas College for the WHAC vs. MIAA Challenge on Friday, February 13.
For the women, junior Aubrey Connelly ran a UOlivet record in the 600-meter run with a time of 1:45.39. Freshman Cassie Bill set the No. 8 all-time UOlivet mark in the 1000-meter run (3:46.64). She also ran a personal best in the mile (6:27.53). Sophomore Kenzie Gray threw a personal best in the weight throw (44 feet, 1/2 inches), which moves her to fifth on the UOlivet all-time Top 10 list.
For the men, junior Joe Kadluboski ran a personal best in the 1000-meter run (2:47.95), which moves him up to No. 4 on the UOlivet all-time Top 10 list. Kadluboski also completed the 200-meter dash in a personal best (26.47). Sophomore Yrral Campbell finished fourth in the shot put. His mark (44 feet and 1-1/4 inches) is No. 7 all-time at UOlivet. Campbell also placed sixth in the weight throw (48 feet, 1-1/4 inches).
Also, for the women, freshman Landry Gomez won the 800-meter run (2:39.12). Junior Ellie Baynes ran a personal best in the 60m hurdles (11.13) and season best in the 200-meter dash (29.24). Junior Taylor Facca ran a personal best in the 200-meter dash (32.41).
Also, for the men, senior Charles Goldman ran a personal best in the 200-meter dash (25.17). Freshman Alexander Crabtree threw a personal best in the weight throw (40 feet, 11 inches). Junior Austin Cole had a season best in the weight throw (42 feet, 1-1/4 inches).
Sophomore Tye Kirschner placed third in the 60-meter hurdles (8.83). Freshman Emori Jones finished fourth in the 800-meter run, with a personal best time (2:07.81). In the 60-meter dash preliminaries, freshman Aiden Coggins had a personal best (7.18) and senior Dontal Wright had a season best (7.39).
On Monday, Baynes participates in the first-ever indoor combined events for the MIAA Championships. She will compete in the pentathlon (60-meter hurdles, high jump, shot put, long jump and 800-meter run) at Alma College, starting at 11:20 a.m. The rest of the Comets will next compete Saturday, February 21, at the Hillsdale College Indoor Tune-Up.
