UOlivet competes at Hillsdale Tune-Up

HILLSDALE, Mich. – The University of Olivet track and field teams competed over two days at the Hillsdale Tune-Up.
FOR THE WOMEN
For the women, junior Aubrey Connelly threw a new personal best in the javelin throw (111 feet, 4 inches), which is third all-time at UOlivet. Freshman Peyton Tennant also achieved a personal best in the javelin with throws of 100 feet, 6 inches, which is seventh in the UOlivet record book.
Sophomore Kenzie Gray threw personal bests in the discus at 123 feet, 10 inches, which moves her up to fifth in the UOlivet record book and shot put at 36 feet, 5-1/2 inches, which is ninth all-time.
Freshman Danah Pearson set two new UOlivet top 10 marks – long jump at 16 feet, 2 1/2 inches), which is fifth all time, and 100-meter dash (13.10), which is eighth.
Freshman Zoe Watson achieved a personal best in the discus (94 feet, 4 inches). Fellow freshman Allison Stauffer set a personal best in the shot put (26 feet, 1 inch).
Connelly posted personal bests in the 200-meter dash (27.63) and 100-meter dash (13.51). Freshman Bethany Stowell accomplished the same thing at 33.49 seconds in the 200 and 15.56 seconds in the 100.
Freshmen Avery Lopez and Cassie Bill ran personal bests in the 800-meter run with times of 2:45.92, and 2:58.49, respectively.
FOR THE MEN
Sophomore Tye Kirschner won the high jump and cleared a personal best at 6 feet, 3/4 inches, which is 10th all-time at UOlivet.
Freshmen Drew Wojciechowski, Elijah Cottrell and Alexander Crabtree threw personal bests in the discus throw at 131 feet, 11 inches; 121 feet, and 98 feet, 5 inches, respectively.
Seniors Dontal Wright and Charles Goldman ran personal bests in the 100-meter dash with times of 11.28 and 12.10, respectively.
Senior Brenden Castillo, junior Deegan Bodell, and freshman Owen Lambarth posted personal bests in the 1,500-meter run at 4:17.32, 4:19.24, and 4:34.23, respectively.
Junior Joe Kadluboski set a personal best in the 800-meter run (2:06.63).
The 4x400-meter relay team of Kadluboski, freshman Emori Jones, senior Ben Gillesby, and junior Sam Bruinsma finished third (3:56.88).

The Comets are back in action at the MIAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Thursday and Friday, April 30-May 1 at Hope College.
