Men’s volleyball team swept by Carthage in three sets

OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College men's volleyball team was swept in three sets by Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL) leader and No. 1-ranked Carthage (Wis.) College tonight inside the Cutler Event Center in Olivet. The Red Men won by scores of 25-8, 25-15, 25-18.

  • The Red Men led from start-to-finish in the first two sets.
  • The Comets held a 1-0 lead in the third set. Carthage answered with a 3-0 run and did not relinquish its advantage for the rest of the set.

  • Parker Connolly topped the team with eight kills, followed by Bryce Thomas with seven.
  • Matt Reinsel dished out 36 set assists.
  • Kai Cronwell registered a match-high four digs.

  • Olivet is back in action tomorrow morning at 11 a.m. against North Central (Ill.) College.
