Dickerson named MCVL Offensive Player of the Week
OLIVET, Mich. – Senior Quinn Dickerson from The University of Olivet men's volleyball team has been named the Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL) Offensive Player of the Week.
Dickerson totaled 52 kills and posted a .452 attack percentage in four matches for the Comets in their first weekend of action for the 2024 season. He recorded 11 kills against Marian (Wis.), 22 against North Park (Ill.), 11 against Lakeland (Wis.) and eight against Illinois Wesleyan. The 22 kills versus North Park rank fourth in school history for a match. Dickerson also tallied nine assisted blocks. He did not play in Olivet's three-set win over MCVL member Calvin University.
"I am proud with how Quinn played our opening weekend," said Olivet head coach Gabe Murley. "He was especially integral to our team in our win over North Park. It's very exciting the conference is recognizing him for his performance as it is well deserved."
The Comets are back in action Friday night when they travel to play Lawrence Technological University. The first serve from the Don Ridler Fieldhouse in Southfield is scheduled for 7 p.m.
