Men’s cross country team runs at Adrian Invitational
The Olivet College men’s cross country team kicked off its 2011 campaign by competing today at the Adrian College Invitational, which was ran at the Lenawee Christian High School in Adrian.
ADRIAN, Mich. – The Olivet College men's cross country team kicked off its 2011 campaign by competing today at the Adrian College Invitational, which was ran at the Lenawee Christian High School in Adrian.
In his first collegiate meet, freshman Greg Lutzke (Williamston) was the Comets' top finisher, as he placed 17th out of 39 runners and completed the 5K course in 17:16.68. Freshmen Andrew Benkovsky (Eaton Rapids) and Jalen Weaver (Albion) were next in 18:22.58 and 18:35.07, respectively. Senior Tom Sobleskey (Olivet) finished in 19:15.45.
The Comets will next run at the Defiance (Ohio) University Invitational Sept. 10. The men's race will start at 10 a.m.
