Men’s cross country team places eighth at MIAA Championships
The Olivet College men’s cross country team placed eight at the 2011 MIAA Championships, which was hosted by Alma College at the Pine River Country Club.
ALMA, Mich. – The Olivet College men's cross country team placed eighth at the 2011 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Championships, which was hosted by Alma College at the Pine River Country Club.
Leading the way for the Comets was freshman Andrew Benkovsky (Eaton Rapids), who ran the 8K course in 27:11. Freshman Greg Lutzke (Williamston) was less than one minute behind in 27:54, and fellow freshman Jalen Weaver (Albion) finished five seconds later in 27:59. 30:05.2. Junior Brock Hubbard (Battle Creek/Harper Creek) had a time of 29:40.
Olivet will now train for the 2011 NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional Nov. 12 at Oberlin (Ohio) College.
