Softball team swept at Concordia, 8-0 and 10-2
The Olivet College softball team was swept by Concordia University in a non-conference doubleheader this afternoon in Ann Arbor. The Cardinals won by scores of 8-0 and 10-2.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Olivet College softball team was swept by Concordia University in a non-conference doubleheader this afternoon in Ann Arbor. The Cardinals won by scores of 8-0 and 10-2.
In the first game, senior Marlene Packer (Grand Rapids/Creston) was 3-for-3 with a double and two singles. Freshman Maddy Siebenmark (Bridgman) was the losing pitcher.
In the nightcap, the Comets scored their two runs in the fourth inning after freshmen Chelsea Luedtke (Millington) and Jessica Doster (Mendon) each drew bases-loaded walks. Sophomore Jessica Duell (Ionia) suffered the pitching loss.
Olivet will be right back in action tomorrow afternoon when it hosts Alma College for its Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association opener. First pitch from game one of the doubleheader is slated for 1 p.m.
