Softball: Olivet halted at Adrian in MIAA twinbill

ADRIAN, Mich. – The University of Olivet softball team lost both games to Adrian College, 12-0 and 20-1, in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) doubleheader today at the AC Softball Field.

• Final Scores: Adrian 12, Olivet 0 (5); Adrian 20, Olivet 1 (5)

• Records: Olivet 3-25 overall, 0-14 MIAA; Adrian 27-9 overall, 10-4 MIAA

• The Bulldogs scored at least one run in each of the four innings, plating three in the first, four in the second, two in the second and three in the fourth.
• Olivet had two base runners in the second inning. Sophomore Mattie Akom recorded the lone hit of the game, a double to lead off the frame. Later in the inning, freshman Michelle Michelin walked.
• The Comets' only other base runner was in the fifth inning when freshman Morgan Rachow drew a walk.

• Adrian totaled 20 runs on 22 hits. The Bulldogs' big inning was the second when they sent 14 batters to the plate and scored nine runs.
• Olivet's run was courtesy of a solo home run by freshman Hannah Cron in the bottom of the first.

• Olivet celebrates Senior Day on Saturday when it hosts Alma College for two games, starting at 1 p.m.
