Clay Target: Olivet finishes fourth at Hillsdale College Shotgun Invitational

HILLDSALE, Mich. – This weekend was a battle against freezing temperatures and stiff winds for The University of Olivet clay target team. Upon arriving at the John A. Halter Center, the team was greeted by a sheet of ice and a light covering of snow. 

Given the conditions and competing in a few disciplines the team does not normally compete in, the Comets performed admirably. Olivet finished fourth place overall out of seven collegiate teams. 

The highlight of the tournament was Trap, where freshman Whitley Fowler shot a perfect 50/50 for her first time. This put her tied for first-place individual, leading the way to the team's second-place finish in the discipline.
