UOlivet falls to Albion, 97-63

ALBION, Mich. – The University of Olivet women's basketball team fell to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Albion College, 97-63, this afternoon inside Kresge Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Britons scored the first 21 points of the game. The Comets scored their first points of the game with 2:05 left in the opening quarter when freshman Teresa Repichowski made a three-pointer. Albion held a 26-9 lead at the end of the first quarter.
- Olivet outscored the Britons 25-17 in the second quarter to trail by nine points, 43-34, at halftime. Albion had a 33-12 scoring advantage in the third quarter and xxx in the fourth quarter to post the 34-point margin of victory.
FOR THE COMETS
- Junior Kaylee Bush scored a team-high 17 points and recorded four assists.
- Junior Christina Malackanich contributed nine points and two blocks.
- Junior Drue Allen finished with eight points.
- Senior Kinsley Hatfield grabbed a team-best five rebounds.
UP NEXT
- The Comets are back on the court next Saturday, December 13, when they host Trine (Ind.) University. Game time at the Cutler Event Center is 3 p.m. Prior to the women's game, the Olivet men will host University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in a non-league contest.
