UOlivet falls at home to Calvin, 82-41

OLIVET, Mich. – The University of Olivet women's basketball team fell to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Calvin University, 82-41, tonight at the Cutler Event Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Comets never trailed by more than three points in the first six minutes and 12 seconds of the game. The Knights scored the final four points of the opening quarter to take a 15-10 lead heading into the second quarter. Calvin ended the second period with an 18-2 run to turn a 23-16 score into a 41-18 score at halftime. The Knights outscored Olivet, 22-12, in the third quarter and 19-11 in the fourth quarter, to post the 41-point victory.

FOR THE COMETS

• Freshman Ava Lord scored a team-leading 13 points.
• Freshmen Reese Gohsman and Peyton Tennant each had six points.
• Tennant grabbed a team-leading five rebounds.
