UOlivet drops 81-43 game to Hope

OLIVET, Mich. – The University of Olivet women's basketball team was on the losing end of an 81-43 final against Hope College in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) contest this afternoon at the Cutler Event Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Senior Kinsley Hatfield scored the first basket of the game. The Flying Dutch responded with a three-pointer and Hatfield countered with another basket. Hope scored the next six points to go up 9-4 at the 6:55 mark. The Flying Dutch ended the period on a 9-2 run to increase their lead to 12 points, 18-6. Olivet did not get any closer than 10 points for the rest of the game.

FOR THE COMETS

• Freshman Reese Gohsman had a team-high in points (eight) and shared a team-high in rebounds (five)
• Hatfield, junior Kaylee Bush and freshman Madelyn Burdis each scored seven points.
• Hatfield also pulled down five rebounds.

• The Comets play their final road game of the season next Wednesday, February 18, at Adrian College. Game time at the Merillat Sport & Fitness Center is 7:30 p.m.
