Women's golf team finishes in fourth-place at Franklin Invitational
The Olivet College women’s golf team finished in fourth-place today at Franklin College Spring Invitational at The Legends of Indiana Golf Course in Indianapolis.
The Olivet College women’s golf team finished in fourth-place today at Franklin College Spring Invitational at The Legends of Indiana Golf Course in Indianapolis.
After tallying a team score of 406 strokes in Sunday’s first round, the Lady Comets shot a 387 today for a two-day score of 793 strokes. The University of Indianapolis captured the team title with a score of 714 strokes. Individually, freshman Kristy Latimer (Battle Creek/Harper Creek High School) fired a team-best round of 92 strokes today, and finished the invitational with a score of 192 strokes.
Freshman Stephanie Nicolai (Shelbyville/Wayland Union High School) had a team-best 95 on Sunday and shot a 99 today for a two-day of 194 strokes. Following Latimer and Nicolai were sophomore Katie Edick (Charlotte High School) with a 202 (107-95), sophomore Wendy Mickelwait (Middleville/Thornapple Kellogg High School) with a 207 (104-103) and freshman Amanda London (Marshall High School) with a 208 (107-101).
The Comets will next compete at the Tri-State (Ind.) University Invitational on Saturday, April 24, at the Zollner Golf Course.
