Women's golf team breaks school record at Baldwin-Wallace (Ohio) Invitational
The Olivet College women's golf team shot a school record 354 strokes today at the Baldwin-Wallace (Ohio) College Yellow Jacket Fall Invitational at the Big Met Golf Course in Fairview Park, Ohio. The score placed Olivet third out of nine teams.

The previous team record was 361 set earlier this year at the Jon Spiess Memorial Invitational.
The host Yellow Jackets won the team title with a 339. Wilmington (Ohio) College was second with a 346.
Leading the way for Olivet were both freshmen Kristy Latimer (Battle Creek/Harper Creek High School) and Lindsey Struble (Battle Creek/Harper Creek High School) with an 87. They were followed by freshman Stephanie Nicolai (Shelbyville/Wayland Union High School) with an 88, sophomore Katie Edick (Charlotte High School) with a 92 and sophomore Wendy Mickelwait (Middleville/Thornapple Kellogg High School) with a 94. Freshman Amanda London (Marshall High School) played as an individual and shot a 94.
The Comets are next in action on Tuesday, Sept. 30 when they participate in the Defiance (Ohio) College Invitational at the Kettenring Golf Course. The invitational was rescheduled following thunderstorms last Monday.
