Lady golfers finish in 10th-place at the Huskie Classic
The Olivet College women's golf team finished in 10th-place today at the 19th annual Huskie Classic at the Whisper Creek Golf Course in Huntley, Ill. Northern Illinois University was the host school.

The Lady Comets carded a team score of 387 strokes, and finished the two-day tournament with a score of 760 strokes. Western Michigan captured the team championship with a 605. The 10-team field was comprised of six NCAA Division I schools, one Division II school and three Division III schools.
Leading the way for Olivet was sophomore Katie Edick (Charlotte High School), who had a two-day score of 186 strokes, including an 84 in the first round. She was followed by freshman Kristy Latimer (Battle Creek/Harper Creek High School) with a 187, sophomore Wendy Mickelwait (Middleville/Thornapple Kellogg High School) with a 189 and freshmen Lindsey Struble (Battle Creek/Harper Creek High School) and freshman Stephanie Nicolai (Shelbyville/Wayland Union High School)with a 199 and 204, respectively. Freshman Amanda London (Marshall High School) played as an individual and shot a two-day score of 202 strokes.
Olivet will next be in action on Friday-Saturday, Oct. 10-11, when it hosts the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association championships at the Bedford Valley Country Club in Battle Creek.
