Women's golf team finishes in second at Lady Comets' Fall Invitational
The Olivet College women’s golf team finished in second-place (out of six teams) today at the Lady Comets’ Fall Invitational at The Medalist Golf Club in Marshall. Olivet tallied a team score of 719 (357-362) strokes, just two strokes behind champion Manchester (Ind.) College.

Individually, freshman Jennifer Lambarth (Saline High School) tied for third with a 173 (86-87). Holly Sneller from Hope College earned medalist honors with a 170 (85-85).
Following Lambarth was sophomore Kristy Latimer (Battle Creek/Harper Creek High School) with a 178 (89-89), junior Katie Edick (Charlotte High School) and freshman Stephanie Pott (Kalamazoo Mattawan High School) with a 184, freshman Amanda Sanders (Concord High School) with a 186 and junior Wendy Mickelwait (Middleville/Thornapple Kellogg High School) with a 205.
Sophomores Lindsey Struble (Battle Creek/Harper Creek High School), Stephanie Nicolai (Shelbyville/Wayland Union High School) and Amanda London (Marshall High School) competed as individuals. They finished with scores of 192, 197 and 212, respectively.
Olivet will resume Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play Wednesday, Sept. 22, at the second league jamboree at the Milham Park Golf Course in Kalamazoo.
