Women’s golf team takes second-place at Franklin (Ind.) College Lady Grizzly Spring Classic
Despite shooting a tournament low team score of 344 strokes today, the Olivet College women's golf finished in second-place at the Franklin (Ind.) College Lady Grizzly Spring Classic. The two-day, 36-hole outing was played at The Legends of Indiana Country Club in Franklin.

Saint Mary's (Ind.) College won the team championship with a 693. Combining today's round with yesterday's 349, the Comets finished nine strokes behind with a 702.
Leading the way for Olivet was junior Kristy Latimer (Battle Creek/Harper Creek) and sophomore Amanda Sanders (Concord). Each carded a two-round score of 174 strokes. Latimer had rounds of 88 and 86, while Sanders had a 91 and 83. Sanders' second round of 83 included five birdies.
Junior Stephanie Nicolai (Shelbyville/Wayland Union) and freshman Lindsay Pipkin (White Lake/Lakeland) each finished with a 178. Nicolai tallied back-to-back rounds of 89 strokes. Pipkin had a 90 in the first round, and was two strokes better today with an 88. Freshman Trisha McKim (DeWitt) completed the Comet lineup with a 179 (92-87).
