Pipkin named to 2006-07 NGCA All-Great Lakes Region Team

Olivet College sophomore Lindsay Pipkin (White Lake/Lakeland) has been named to the 2006-07 National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) All-Great Lakes Region Team. Pipkin was recognized at the NGCA Awards Banquet prior to the NCAA Division III National Championships last week.

Pipkin helped the Comets finish in ninth-place at the national championships. Olivet won the 2006 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) championship and received the league's automatic bid to nationals. A 2005 and 2006 first-team All-MIAA selection, Pipkin had an 84.3 stroke average in 12 rounds during the fall season. She also broke the 18-hole school record with a 74 at the Aquinas Invitational. During the spring, Pipkin recorded an 83.9 stroke average in seven rounds.
