Women’s golf team ties for 11th-place at NCAA Championships
The Olivet College women’s golf team tied for 11th-place at the 2009 NCAA Division III National Championships May 13-16 at the PGA Golf Club and on the Wanamaker course in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

The Comets posted a four-round total of 1,321 (326-326-345-324) strokes to tie DePauw (Ind.) University. Methodist (N.C.) University captured its 12th straight national championship and won its 22nd overall championship in school history with a four-day total of 1,257 strokes.
Senior Lindsay Pipkin (White Lake/Lakeland) led Olivet with 326 (82-81-82-81) strokes. She shares 24th-place in the final player standings. Junior Megan Rimmel (Ithaca) recorded a 328 (82-82-84-80) total. Sophomore Amber Conrad (Battle Creek/Harper Creek) was two strokes behind Rimmel, finishing with a 330 (77-82-90-81). Senior Katie Misko (Alma) totaled 341 (85-81-91-84) strokes. Freshman Lauren Campbell (Fenton) rounded out the Comet lineup at 344 (89-87-89-82).
