Conrad earns NGCA All-Great Lakes Region honors
Olivet College senior Amber Conrad (Battle Creek/Harper Creek) has been named to the 2010-11 NGCA All-Great Lakes Region Team.
OLIVET, Mich. -- Olivet College senior Amber Conrad (Battle Creek/Harper Creek) has been named to the 2010-11 National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) All-Great Lakes Region Team. She was presented with this award at the NGCA Awards Banquet, which was held in conjunction with the NCAA Division III National Championships last week.
Conrad is the first female golfer in school history to earn All-Great Lakes Region honors three times during her career. During the spring season, she posted an 80.3 stroke average over 10 rounds, including tying for the second best round in school history with a 74. Last fall, Conrad averaged 82.6 strokes over 12 rounds.
Conrad led the Comets to a fifth straight trip to the NCAA Division III National Championships May 10-12 at the Mission Inn Resort and El Campeon Golf Course in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla., where they tied for 10th-place. In addition, she earned 2010 All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association first-team honors for a fourth straight year.
