Olivet College’s Plourde eliminated in match play at Michigan Women’s Amateur
Olivet College senior Adrienne Plourde (Livonia/Redford Thurston) was eliminated from the 97th Annual Michigan Women’s Amateur with a loss in match play.
EAST LANSING, Mich. – Olivet College senior Adrienne Plourde (Livonia/Redford Thurston) was eliminated from the 97th Annual Michigan Women's Amateur with a loss in match play.
Plourde fell to No. 3 seed Kimberly Dinh, 2&1 (up two with one hole left) in the first round of match play. Dinh, who lives in Midland, will be a red-shirt junior at University of Wisconsin this fall.
Plourde is just the second golfer in school history to advance to the match play round at the Michigan Women's Amateur.

Olivet College's Damico and Plourde compete at Michigan Women's Amateur, Plourde qualifies for match play
EAST LANSING, Mich. – Olivet College seniors Theresa Damico (White Lake/Lakeland) and Adrienne Plourde (Livonia/Redford Thurston) competed at the 97th Annual Michigan Women's Amateur, which is being played at the Walnut Hills Golf Club in East Lansing. Plourde has advanced to 32-player match play round, while Damico missed the cut for match play.
Plourde carded a two-day total of 160 strokes to sit in a tie for 29th-place. She had a 78 in yesterday's first round and followed that with an 82 in today's round. Damico was part of a tie for 58th-place with a two-round total of 169 strokes, with an 83 and 86. Ninety golfers were in the field prior to the cut.
Plourde is seeded 30th in the match play bracket, and will face No. 3 seed Kimberly Dinh tomorrow morning. Dinh, who lives in Midland, will be a red-shirt junior at University of Wisconsin this fall. They will tee off at 9:48 a.m.
A year ago at the 96th Michigan Women's Amateur, Damico advanced to the match play round. As the No. 29 seed, she upset the No. 4 seed before bowing out of the tournament with a loss to the No. 13 seed.
