Women’s golf team finishes 14th IWU Kathy Niepagen Spring Fling

NORMAL, Ill. – The Olivet College women's golf team placed 14th at the 2022 Kathy Niepagen Spring Classic, hosted by Illinois Wesleyan University and at the Ironwood Golf Club.

Final Placement: 14th of 15 schools
Par / Yardage: 72 / 5,805 yards

• The Comets posted a two-round total of 741 (353-388) strokes.
• The host Titans led the 16-team field with a 621 (300-321).
• Lexi Onsrud from Illinois Wesleyan was the tournament medalist with a 148, including a three-under par 69 in the first round.

• Junior Aynslee Myer shot Olivet's best two-round score with a 176 (83-93). Over the two rounds, she had four birdies, including both days on the par 5, 446-yard No. 17.
• Freshman Kennedy Ellis was next at 187 (87-100).
• Senior Rachel Webb carded a 190 (89-101).
• Sophomore Rayna Honsowitz completed her two rounds in 191 (95-96) strokes.
• Freshman Rylee Honsowitz finished with a 193 (94-99).

• The Comets compete at the Bethel (Ind.) University Invitational Friday and Saturday, April 15-16. The 36-hole tournament is at the Blackthorn Golf Club in South Bend.
