UOlivet takes eighth at Spring Shootout

KOKOMO, Ind. –The University of Olivet women's golf team placed eighth at the Spring Shootout, hosted by Indiana University-Kokomo and held at the Wildcat Creek Golf Course.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Comets posted a two-round total of 754 strokes, including a 374 in today's second round.
• Indiana University-East captured the team title with a 644 (323-321).
• Liv Sanders from IU-East was the individual medalist with a 153 (78-75).

FOR THE COMETS

• Junior Ella LaMothe topped Olivet with a two-day score of 178 (88-90) strokes.
• Senior Rylee Honsowitz was next at 188 (97-91).
• Freshman Ryleigh Reese carded a 193 (98-95).
• Freshman Emily Clark had a 195 (97-98).
• Junior Sedona Bonter completed her two rounds in 199 (100-99) strokes.

UP NEXT

• Olivet ends its season Monday-Tuesday, April 21-22 at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Spring Finale. The tournament takes place at the Binder Park Golf Course in Battle Creek. Monday's first round starts at 12 p.m., followed by Tuesday's round at 10 a.m.
