UOlivet places eighth at MIAA Spring Finale

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. –The University of Olivet women's golf team ended its season with an eighth-place finish at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Spring Finale. The 36-hole outing took place at the Binder Park Golf Course.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Comets ended the tournament with a two-day total of 748 strokes. After shooting a 381 in Monday's first round, Olivet shaved 14 strokes off its score in today's round with a 367.
- Trine (Ind.) University finished first with a 640 (319-321).
- Rylee Smith from Trine earned medalist honors with a 152 (78-74).
FOR THE COMETS
- Junior Ella LaMothe had a two-round total of 180 strokes. She had the best round for Olivet over the two days with an 89 in the second round.
- Senior Rylee Honsowitz completed her two rounds in 182 strokes, including a team-best first-round score with a 90.
- Freshman Ryleigh Reese posted Olivet's best improvement from day one to day two, as she carded 100 in the first round and 92 in the second round for a two-day total of 192 strokes.
- Junior Sedona Bonter posted a two-day total of 194 (100-94) strokes.
- Freshman Madison Cowhy shot a 213 (100-113).
- Freshman Emily Clark was in the lineup as an individual scorer and recorded a 200 (102-98).
