HOLLAND, Mich. – The Olivet College women's lacrosse team fell to Hope College, 19-6, this afternoon at Van Andel Stadium in Holland.
The Flying Dutch led 15-3 at halftime, but only outscored the Comets, 4-3, in the final 30 minutes of play. Three Olivet players scored a goal. Geri Merrell led the way with three, while Mimi Garza had two and Ana Gomez had one. Merrell topped the team with eight shots, placing seven on-goal. Sarah Shaw finished with 12 saves.
The Comets host Adrian College next Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
