GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Olivet College women's lacrosse team fell to Calvin College, 10-1, in its season-finale today at the Zuidema Soccer Field in Grand Rapids.
Calvin led 4-0 at halftime and 8-0 around the midway point of the second half. Sophomore Geri Merrell scored the Comets' only goal at the 11:29 mark on a free-position shot. The Knights scored the final two goals of the game.
Olivet was out-shot 27-8. Merrell led the way with five shots. Sophomore Taylor Guarnaccia scooped up a team-leading seven ground balls. In the cage, sophomore Sarah Shaw made 15 saves.
