The Olivet College wrestling team won 7-of-10 bouts en route to a 30-12 win over Manchester (Ind.) College, 30-12, tonight inside The Cutler Event Center in Olivet.

After losing the 125-pound match, the Comets reeled off wins at the next three weights. Junior Adam Wilson (Battle Creek/Harper Creek) got things with rolling with an 11-3 major decision win at 133 pounds. Junior Vince Tucker (Clio) used a takedown early in the second period to post an 18-2 technical fall victory at 141 pounds. Senior Nick Leon (Sterling Heights/Henry Ford II) added a 10-0 major decision win at 149 pounds.
Following a close loss at 157 pounds, Olivet put the match away with four consecutive wins. Sophomore 165-pounder Justin Jaynes (Richmond) and sophomore 174-pounder Trevor Tyler (Roscommon) won 6-3 and 6-2, respectively. Freshman Josh Crawford (Birch Run) scored a three-point near-fall in the third period to put away a 19-2 tech fall win at 184 pounds. At 197 pounds, senior Joe McAllister (Sault Ste. Marie) capped the night, recording a pin 58 seconds into the second period.
The Comets will travel to Williamsport, Pa., this Friday and Saturday, Jan. 15-16, to participate in the Bud Whitehill Duals at Lycoming College. Olivet's first match is Friday morning at 10:30 a.m. against Baldwin-Wallace (Ohio) College.
