Tucker eliminated at NCAA Wrestling Championships

Olivet College junior Vince Tucker (Clio) competed today at the 2010 NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships at the U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Tucker was the No. 6 seed in the 141-pound bracket. In the first round, he lost a close 11-10 match to Jeremy Stierly from Ithaca (N.Y.). Tucker bounced back to win his first match in the consolation bracket, 10-6 over Gregg Martino from New York University. He was eliminated from the tournament with a 12-5 loss to No. 5 seed John Starzyk from North Central (Ill.) College

Tucker ends his season with a 30-5 record. Two of the five losses were to NCAA Division I opponents.
