Women's soccer loses to Denison, 5-0
The Olivet College women's soccer team dropped a 5-0 decision against Denison (Ohio) University at the Denison/Ohio Wesleyan Tournament. On Saturday, the Lady Comets will face Ohio Wesleyan at 4 p.m. The game will now be played at Ohio Wesleyan.
The Olivet College women's soccer team dropped a 5-0 decision against Denison (Ohio) University at the Denison/Ohio Wesleyan Tournament. On Saturday, the Lady Comets will face Ohio Wesleyan at 4 p.m. The game will now be played at Ohio Wesleyan.
The Lady Comets played a solid defensively for the first 37 minutes of the contest before allowing four goals in the last eight minutes. Despite the loss, sophomore goalkeeper Gretchen Ford (Harbor Springs High School) played great. She faced 32 shots, including 27 in the first half and made 10 saves.
Following tomorrow's contest, Olivet will open Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play on Tuesday, Sept. 9 when it hosts Hope College at 4 p.m.
