In regulation play, the Thunder outshot the Lady Comets, 15-5. Both teams had two shots in the second overtime. Freshman Kaitlyn Neff (Rockford High School) led Olivet with four shots, including two on goal.
Sophomore Gretchen Ford (Harbor Springs High School) played the entire game in goal. She faced 17 shots and made 10 saves.
Olivet is next in action on Wednesday, Sept. 17 when it hosts Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association foe Alma College at 4 p.m.
