The Olivet College women's soccer team lost to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association foe Saint Mary's (Ind.) College, 3-0, today in its final home game of the 2003 season.
The Olivet College women's soccer team lost to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association foe Saint Mary's (Ind.) College, 3-0, today in its final home game of the 2003 season.
The Belles scored two goals in the span of just under three minutes in the first half. In the second half, Saint Mary's sealed the win with a goal in the 68th minute.
The Lady Comets were credited with three shots, including two by freshman midfielder Stacey Stickney (St. Joseph High School). In goal, sophomore Gretchen Ford (Harbor Springs High School) played the first half. She faced 10 shots and made three saves. Freshman Dani Jacobs (Suttons Bay High School) was in goal for the second half. She made seven saves on 11 shots.
Olivet concludes the 2003 season on Saturday, Nov. 8 when it travels to Holland to play Hope College at noon.
