The Olivet College women's soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision this afternoon at Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Alma College.
The Lady Comets (5-6, 3-4 MIAA) jumped out to an early 1-0 lead just one minute, 50 seconds into the game on an unassisted goal by freshman forward Shannah Fisher (Delton Kellogg High School). The Scots (3-7-1, 3-4-1 MIAA) tied the game in the 35th minute and took the lead at halftime with a goal at the 43:17 mark. Alma added an insurance goal in the 69th minute.
Olivet was held to four shots, including two by sophomore midfielder Heather Wolf (Marshall High School). In goal, junior Gretchen Ford (Harbor Springs High School) faced 11 shots and was credited with two saves.
The Comets are next in action Thursday, Oct. 7, when they host MIAA rival Albion College at 4 p.m.
