The Olivet College women's soccer team fell to the host Bishops, 3-1, today in a second round game of the 16th Annual Ohio Wesleyan University/Big Red Invitational in Delaware, Ohio.
Ohio Wesleyan took a 3-0 halftime lead with a goal in the 16th, 24th and 27th minute. The Comets (0-2) scored their goal just 1:50 into the second half. Junior Shannah Fisher (Delton-Kellogg) passed the ball to senior Kelli McKee (Canton) for the goal. Freshman Shane Brady (Battle Creek/Central) played all 90 minutes in goal. She faced 22 shots and made four saves.
Olivet is idle until next Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 9-10, when it co-hosts a tournament with Alma College. On Saturday, the Comets host LaRoche (Pa.) College at noon, and on Sunday, they host Rowan (N.J.) College at noon.
