The Olivet College women's soccer team beat Anderson (Ind.) University, 2-0, Saturday at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet.
Olivet led 1-0 at halftime behind a goal by junior Ashley Buyce (Portage/Central) in the 31st minute. Sophomore Lizzy Julian (Mattawan) and freshman Rebecca Gaarde (Parma/Western) each earned an assist on the goal. The Comets stretched their lead to 2-0 on a goal by Julian.
For the game, Olivet outshot the Ravens, 34-2. Julian topped the Comets with 13 shots, while Buyce had six. Gaarde and sophomore Sam Spiteri (St. Clair Shores/Lake Shore) each had five. Junior Megan Colby (Sparta/Cedar Springs) played all 90 minutes in goal and made one save.
The Comets host University of Wisconsin-Whitewater tomorrow at noon
