OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College women's soccer team fell to Saint Mary's (Ind.) College, 3-0, today at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet.
The Belles scored their first goal in the 21st minute when Jordan Diffenderfer found the back of the net. There was no more scoring until the 70:40 mark when Kelly Noonan scored her first goal of the season. Diffenderfer capped the scoring with her second goal of the game in the 81st minute.
Olivet finished the game with only four shots, including two for junior Becca Gaarde (Parma/Western). Freshman Patty Groh (Mason) played all 90 minutes in goal, collecting seven saves, while facing 20 shots.
The Comets travel to play Hope College next Wednesday, Oct. 12, at 7 p.m.
