UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio – The Olivet College women's soccer team fell to the host Blue Streaks, 3-0, in the first round of the John Carroll (Ohio) University Classic Friday night at Don Shula Stadium in University Heights, Ohio. The start of the game was delayed 55 minutes because of lightning.
There was no scoring until 36 seconds left in the opening half when Danielle Sharbaugh put a shot in the back of the net for the Blue Streaks. Sharbaugh scored another goal in the 10th minute of the second half. John Carroll capped its scoring with a goal in the final 30 seconds of the game.
For the game, the Comets were held to four shots, including two on-goal.
Olivet will play Rochester Institute of Technology (N.Y.) in the second round of the tournament Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m.
