Olivet College’s Mayle named second-team All-MIAA
Olivet College junior defender Jenna Mayle (Ionia) has earned 2012 All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) honors in women’s soccer.
OLIVET, Mich. – Olivet College junior defender Jenna Mayle (Ionia) has earned 2012 All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) honors in women's soccer. All-league honors are based on a player's statistics during the 16-game league schedule.
Under the tutelage of Head Coach Hans Morgan, the Comets finished in seventh-place in the MIAA standings with a 4-12 record. Mayle was the anchor of Olivet's back line. From her center back position, she assisted on two goals.
"I am extremely excited for Jenna and thankful to the other coaches in the MIAA for recognizing her," said Morgan. "She has worked very hard during her three years here and improved a ton. We think she is very deserving of this award and we are excited about having her back for what will hopefully big bigger and better things next fall."
