The Olivet College women’s soccer team shut out Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Albion College, 2-0, this afternoon at Alumni Field in Albion.

ALBION, Mich. – The Olivet College women's soccer team shut out Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Albion College, 2-0, this afternoon at Alumni Field in Albion.
The Comets took a 1-0 lead behind an unassisted goal by sophomore Emily Chrzasz in the fourth minute. It is her first collegiate goal. The score stayed that way until the 65th minute when Lauren Vanderhoff found the back of the net off a pass from senior Lindsey Winters.
Albion had a 14-8 edge in total shots, but Olivet had a 6-2 edge in shots-on-goal. Chrzasz and Winters each recorded two shots. Sophomore Deanna Zolnoski posted her fourth shutout win of the season in goal, making two saves.
The Comets have only one game next week, as they host Adrian College Tuesday afternoon at 4 p.m.
