Olivet wins 2-1 over Hiram

OLIVET, Mich. – The University of Olivet women's soccer team defeated Hiram (Ohio) College, 2-1, today at the Cutler Athletic Complex.

THE BASICS

• Records: Olivet 2-1-1 overall, Hiram 0-3 overall

HOW IT HAPPENED

• All the scoring came in the first half.
• Senior Katelyn White put Olivet ahead 1-0 with a goal in the 11th minute. Freshman Isabella Hillard earned the assist on the goal.
• The Terriers leveled the score a little more than two minutes later in the 13th minute.
• The Comets took the lead back in the 31st minute. Junior Jennie Underwood scored the goal, with Hillard picking up the assist.
• Both teams took four shots in the second half but none of them found the back of the net.

FOR THE COMETS

• White led the way with four shots, followed by Underwood with three.
• Sophomore Viveca Krolczyk earned the win in goal, as she had four saves, while playing all 90 minutes.

UP NEXT

• The Comets play their fifth straight home game Wednesday when they welcome Lourdes (Ohio) University to the Cutler Athletic Complex. The game is scheduled to start at 4 p.m.
