OLIVET, Mich. – The University of Olivet women's soccer team suffered a 3-0 loss to Elmhurst (Ill.) University this afternoon inside the Cutler Athletic Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • There was no scoring in the first half.
  • The Bluejays got on the scoreboard three minutes into second half. The first show by a player was stopped by the Olivet keeper before a second player pounced on the rebound and sent a shot into the goal.
  • The score stayed 1-0 until the 80th minute. A Comet was called for a hand ball in the box, and the Elmhurst player made the ensuing penalty kick shot.
  • The Bluejays capped the scoring in the final minute of the game. A shot hit off the crossbar and another player scored on the rebound.
