Women’s swimming and diving team claims sixth-place at Wabash Invitational
The women’s swimming and diving team was sixth (out of nine teams) today at the Wabash (Ind.) University Invitational. The Lady Comets tallied 233.50 team points.
The women’s swimming and diving team was sixth (out of nine teams) today at the Wabash (Ind.) University Invitational. The Lady Comets tallied 233.50 team points.
Olivet had four top-five finishes. Individually, sophomore Katherine Roesch (Oakland Twp./Lake Orion) finished in fourth-place in the 100 backstroke at 1:04.60 and freshman Katie Kilmartin (Wayland) was fifth in the 200 breaststroke in 2:37.98. Sophomore Kristin Bloomquist (Holt) scored 199.51 points on the one-meter diving board for a fifth-place finish.
Roesch, Sarah Boyd (Napoleon, Ohio), Laura Herzog (St. Joseph) and Ashley Zaborski (Battle Creek/Harper Creek) teamed together to finish in third in the 800 freestyle relay with a time of 8:22.00.
The Comets will next swim on Jan. 8, 2005, at the University of Chicago (Ill.).
